The musical interest is justified by the great diversity of festivals in historic and monumental buildings or outdoors in places of great beauty. In the 'Baix Empordà' there is a wide range of popular and dynamic festivals where fun is guaranteed.
The Costa Brava and 'Baix Empordà' have given birth to an original cuisine with a wide variety of flavours and contrasts. It mixes fish and seafood from the coast, fruits and vegetables from the plains, and meats, cheeses and wild produce of the mountain, hence the so-called ' sea and mountain ' cuisine is materialized. The weekly market takes place in the main towns of the region where all the local products can be found, in addition, gastronomic seasons and fairs are held periodically throughout the year.
